More About Connected Horsemanship
Connection is Key!

Amber’s love for horses was immediate and indulged by her grandparents at a young age.
She spent her early years as a DIY horse owner & dedicated apprentice to a dirt-road breeding operation, riding and helping care for half-feral horses that Horse & Rider Magazine couldn’t have prepared her for.
She continued with these barely handled horses throughout her adolescence, learning "old school" methods and significantly through trial & error.
As a young adult, she was eventually introduced to Natural Horsemanship & began studying & training
with a Master Trainer in a NH program.
This approach proved to fill many holes in the previous learning she had been a student of for so many years. Many lightbulbs went on & Amber started to share her experiences.
She began helping rehab OTTBs for rehoming, through a non-profit. This community presence led to forming & facilitating a large trail riding & event group as a Trail Coach.
Soon she was onto becoming a Certified Riding Instructor with CHA, giving one-on-one arena & trail lessons, trail rides, facilitating Youth Horse Camps & much more.
Her training methods have evolved over the years, into less-invasive techniques that approach desired change, considering the whole horse.
Although teaching & sharing the life-changing work of natural, Connected Horsemanship is her passion, she’s spent significant time pursuing variety in other areas as well; patterned speed events, competitive cow work & a little jumping as the highlights. She is committed to continuing her education through many avenues, studying the principles of other kind-minded trainers, LIMA, Attunement, as well as, biomechanics, cow work training, liberty work clinics, obstacle course challenges, ranch work, & Stock Horse and Ranch Riding shows.
No matter the discipline or sport, there's always room for Connected Horsemanship!
